Chris Young Will Help Kick Off the Holiday Season @ Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting

HASLAM, FIRST LADY HOST OFFICIAL LIGHTING OF THE CAPITOL CHRISTMAS TREE


NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and First Lady Crissy Haslam will host the Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting on Monday, November 26.

The 30-foot Norway Spruce was located on state-owned property off of State Route 96 in Arrington, Tenn., and will be decorated in red and gold with more than 6,000 LED lights.

The event will run from 5:30 p.m. until approximately 7 p.m. on War Memorial Plaza, and state employees, their families and the general public are invited to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season.

The evening will feature horse and carriage rides, food trucks, a live reindeer named Snowflake, a visit from Santa Claus, and RCA recording artist and Tennessean, Chris Young.

**NOTE** The event will close Charlotte Avenue between 7th Avenue North and 6th Avenue North from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday, November 26.
